Eight Sites Accredited at June Panel Meeting

July 1, 2024

HFA’s Accreditation Panel met together in Chicago in June. One of the primary responsibilities of the Panel is to review, provide feedback, and make accreditation decisions for sites and multi-site systems. Panel members spent hours preparing for this meeting, each reviewing 4033 pages of documentation submitted by HFA sites and 41 spreadsheets. The sites they reviewed represented a total of 510 families who are partnering with HFA in their local communities.

And in the end, eight HFA sites were accredited! Wahoo! Each accreditation is a major celebration.

We’re so thankful for the HFA Accreditation Panel—they are deeply committed folks with a wealth of knowledge about the HFA model.

Healthy Families America relies on this group of volunteers to support the development and revision of the Best Practice Standards, make accreditation decisions for sites across the network, and to ensure that the whole accreditation process reflects HFA’s values and commitment to CQI.  It is such an honor to come together with this group of committed, passionate HFA professionals and watch the parallel process in action as they come to consensus, listen and reflect together, and partner with the National Office.  They are the kind of people who willingly give up hours and hours of their time to support systems, sites and staff implementing HFA across the network.
