How we support you
It’s not just about what you do, but also the way you do it
While the methods we use to support you are significant, we also strive to deliver our support in a strengths-based, nurturing, relationship-centered way. We call this method of delivering support the “parallel process”—we build relationships and partner with you in the same ways we hope to see partnerships between parents and home visitors and ultimately HFA Parents and HFA Kids.
Technical Assistance
Our TA Specialists provide support to improve the implementation of the HFA model and the quality of services being provided.
Advocacy / Public Policy Support
HFA offers personalized support as you seek to advocate for home visiting in your community, as well as at the state and national level.
Support for Supervisors
HFA hosts a meeting place for all HFA Supervisors to share their wealth of knowledge, experience, and struggles with each other.
Weekly Network Meetings
Each week, HFA leadership provides a learning opportunity for network members. Topics are chosen based on needs expressed by local HFA sites.
Advanced Trainings
HFA’s high-quality training opportunities aren’t just for new staff. Motivational Interviewing, Prenatal Parenting, and Peer Reviewer Training are some of the advanced training opportunities we offer for more seasoned staff.
Research Expertise
Our research team ensures we’re keeping up to date with the latest findings about what works best for HFA families.
National Advisory Groups
Staff from all roles within HFA are represented within HFA’s National Advisory groups, providing key insights to the national office based on their expertise.
