PCA America releases Child Tax Credit Information Brief

This brief was informed by a virtual Child Tax Credit (CTC) Convening in May 2023, hosted by Prevent Child Abuse America and Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago. The convening was a two-day collaboration of caregivers with lived experience, leading researchers, and policy experts to discuss the role, importance, and impact of the CTC and other economic supports for families. Facilitated conversations took place on the impact that the CTC, particularly the expanded CTC as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, had in supporting families and reducing familial stress – a risk factor for child abuse and neglect.
