Diana Sanchez

Site Development Specialist

As a former program manager of an HFA site, I can recall the stress of starting a new site. There is so much to learn when working with an evidence-based model, but the support provided eased my stress while growing my confidence in my site implementation and knowledge of HFA. And now, I get to provide that support to others, like you!

My HFA Story

As a former program manager of an HFA site, I can recall the stress of starting a new site. There is so much to learn when working with an evidence-based model, but the support provided eased my stress while growing my confidence in my site implementation and knowledge of HFA. And now, I get to provide that support to others like you!

When getting started as a new program manager, I made the most of both one-on-one sessions with my Training & TA Specialist, as well as group calls like the new manager sessions. The HFA Best Practice Standards outlines all elements of the model, but being able to talk through the standards with my TA allowed me to learn in a way and pace that worked for me. When my TA said to reach out if I had any questions, I did!

Before I knew it, our site became a local leader. We were often referred to when new sites near us were starting up.

I definitely experienced for myself how HFA is all about relationships; the relationship and support from the HFA National Office reflected the parallel process and ignited my passion for home visiting and the HFA model! My experiences with my HFA Training and TA Specialist provided me with the foundation for how I wanted to manage, enabling my team to support and cultivate relationships with the families in our HFA program.

My favorite resources for prospective affiliates

HFA is a Relational Health Model

This resource will explain what it means to be a home visiting model focused on relational health! If you find the section where we explain the parallel process, you’ll also see we intend for the affiliation process to be relationship-based. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your community as you explore if HFA is the right fit for you.

HFA Model Flexibility

The HFA model was built from its inception with flexibility in mind. This is one of the reasons many communities ultimately choose the HFA model as the best fit for them – because they can adapt it to be what they need. Explore this page to learn more, and then reach out to me to discuss it further!

Budgeting Calculator

I mean, who doesn’t love a cool interactive calculator!? But seriously, take a look and make sure to download the full Excel sheet. This is a great tool as you prepare to launch your HFA program!

I look forward to hearing from you!
